Marilyn Monroe? Jimi Hendrix? Attack Of The Retro Sex Tapes!

What is this world coming to? I dunno, but I like it. Celebrity porno, even if they were fakes (lookalikes) is a category that deserves to be a genre unto itself, ...or is it already? At least, if it wasn't for the fact that porno producers are generally lazy. And lookalikes rarely look that much like the celeb they impersonate.

The Marilyn Monroe film is reportedly authentic (it better be for 1.5 million), but will be kept out of circulation. The Jimi Hendrix video has at least one doubter, but will be made public.

Yay!

Ha Ha!

From the Beeb;

Paris Hilton is sent back to jail

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton has been taken screaming from a Los Angeles court after being told to return to jail to serve out her sentence.

The celebrity heiress was ordered to attend the hearing rather than listen to the proceeding by telephone.

Hilton left jail on Thursday, just three days into a 45-day sentence for violating probation on a driving ban.

Her release from detention, on unspecified medical grounds, had sparked widespread criticism.

Hilton attended court to hear the case for her "reassignment" to house arrest.

She arrived in handcuffs and cried throughout the court session.

The judge said that she would have to serve her full 45-day sentence.

"It's not right!" she shouted in response, before calling out to her mother, who was at the court.

Porn Convention. Yeah, Baby, Yeah!!!

Swiped from the BBC...

Huge crowds at US porn convention
Fans watch adult film star Mary Carey dance at the Adult Entertainment Expo
About 200 pornographic films are shot in the US every week
Thirty thousand people have gathered in the US city of Las Vegas for the annual convention of the pornography industry.

The scale of the Adult Entertainment Expo reflects the huge growth in a business which is said to be bigger than Hollywood and worth $57bn (£29bn).

Estimates of its annual contribution to the US economy range from $12bn-$20bn.

One of the reasons for its recent success is the pioneering use of new technology - video on the internet and use of moving images on mobile phones.

The BBC's Guto Harri in Las Vegas says it is easy to be embarrassed at such a show, with explicit films, intimidating toys and hundreds of half-naked actors on display.

The adult industry is bigger than every professional sports combined - it's part of life, it's mainstream now

But the scale and seriousness of the convention is not that different to a more mainstream gathering because pornography is big business, our correspondent says.

Adult entertainment model Jasmine Mai told the BBC: "The adult industry is bigger than every professional sports combined. It's part of life - it's mainstream now."

'Innovations'

Embracing new technology has been critical to the industry's development, and has allowed people to access it more easily and more discreetly, bringing in new customers.

Adult entertainment helped determine the dominance of VHS over Beta, it was crucial in the development of video on the web, and is now pioneering moving images on mobile phones.

There are an estimated 200 pornographic films shot in the United States every week. Improving production and distribution methods has helped to cut costs.

Our correspondent says many people regard pornography with disgust, but mainstream entertainment has and will continue to benefit from the technical innovations of the shameless people who are in Nevada this weekend.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I should probably research this, but I've never heard the Porn industry complain about "illegal downloading". There's certainly no shortage of free porn on the internet, yet these folks don't seem at all hurt by it. Other parts of the entertainment industry could probably learn a thing or two about the way porn has embraced new tech.

Well. We All Knew This Was Coming, Didn't We?

From DCEmu.co.uk

Boy cited for taking porn to school

A 14-year old boy was cited with a class C felony after bringing digital images of pornography to school on Friday.

Bismarck Police Lt. Dan Donlin said staff at Wachter Middle School called police after finding pornography on the boy's Sony PlayStation Portable. The boy was charged with promoting obscenity to minors for showing other students the pornography.

Donlin said the boy also was cited with simple assault, a misdemeanor, for scratching another student with a key. Donlin said the student who was scratched was the one who told school officials that the boy had pornography on the PlayStation.

iPod porn and other portable video issues

This article says pornography to go is a no-brainer, but oddly enough, I never saw this coming. I liked the idea of the video iPod when I first heard about it and I like porn. I don't care much for the idea of carrying "Rocco Ravishes Europe" or anything by Max Hardcore in my pocket, though. My feeling is that iPod porn will soon make headlines in the context of it's use by students in classrooms. I have to worry too, about whether or not public masturbation becomes more convenient and thus more prevalent. I take public transportation. And public restrooms, fuggedaboutit!
Anyway, I still don't have an iPod nor any of the other portable mini music players as of yet. I have a portable cd player that plays mp3s on CD. While the video iPod sounds cool, I may be leaning toward the Sony PSP, which plays games as well as video. I'll probably get one around January-ish. I haven't had a close up look at either product, but I assume the screen sizes will make watching subtitled movies troublesome. That's kinda an issue for me. Also the price.
iTunes is selling video downloads for $1.99 or something. That seems a bit much, but people appear to be buying 'em. Plus a more reasonable price point might have people questioning the 99 cents they're charging for music downloads. Tough to argue with success, though. Besides, there are alternatives for the resourceful among us. "Nudge, nudge, say no more"...

Dirty White Slut

From EastSouthWestNorth:

Dirty White Slut. (Apple Daily) In Taipei, there are free city maps distributed at the airport and hotels. These maps are published once every three months, typically with singers on the front cover. On this occasion, the featured singer was Vivian Hsu and she wore a t-shirt read "Dirty White Slut." The editorial staff did not pay attention to that. After it was exposed in Hong Kong newspapers, the maps have been withdrawn from circulation.

Lots of interesting stories on that site. Check out the ones about the celebrity masterbation video scandal that's rocking Taiwan at the moment. Great stuff. this could be my new favorite site. Here and here.
